Midfielder John Obi Mikel hopes that Chelsea can carry momentum into Sunday's London derby with Arsenal after ending their mini-slump against Marseille.
Carlo Ancelotti's team defeated their French opponents 2-0 in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night to end a run of two successive defeats.
Chelsea had lost to Newcastle in the Carling Cup prior to a weekend defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League at Eastlands.
And Mikel hopes that the victory in Europe will help the defending English champions return to domestic winning ways with a Stamford Bridge success against Arsenal, who won at Partizan Belgrade.
"I am now looking forward to the game against Arsenal," he said. "We both won so it will be a great game on Sunday and hopefully we can take three points from them.
"Marseille were a good team. In the second half they showed us they can also play.
"But I think we were always in control of the game and our Champions League experience showed.
"Sunday will be a different game, especially as Arsenal keep the ball well."
What will be the outcome of the match between Chelsea and Arsenal?
