Winger wins short-term deal after successful trial

St Mirren have snapped up Jamie McCluskey after the former Hibernian winger impressed on trial. McCluskey has signed a deal until the end of the season after catching the eye of Buddies boss Danny Lennon. Lennon has been a long-term admirer of McCluskey from his time at St Johnstone and Hibs. "Jamie came in and he has impressed us over the week," Lennon told the club's official website. "I can think back to when he was at St Johnstone and he was one that always caught the eye as he is creative."

Ambitious

McCluskey is looking forward to playing under Lennon and is happy to have made the move to Paisley. "I think St Mirren have a very ambitious manager in Danny Lennon," said McCluskey. "What I have seen of him and Iain Jenkins the last few days and how they want to play the game the right way helped me to make up my mind about coming to St Mirren. "They like to play football and I like to play football so I'm really happy to come here and play for St Mirren."
