Easton frustrated by injury

Southend captain Craig Easton has expressed his disappointment at picking up a calf injury two weeks ago.

The midfielder has been ruled out for a month after picking up the knock during the Shrimpers 2-1 defeat to Northampton. "It happened in the last five minutes at Northampton and is obviously a blow for me," he told the Southend Echo. "We were just starting to find a settled side as well, so it's disappointing." Meanwhile, Easton admitted his frustration at watching on from the sidelines last weekend as Southend lost 3-2 to Morecambe. "We're all gutted with the result and the way we lost the three goals in a game where we once again had most of the play," he added. "When we equalised at the start of the second half, there looked like there was only going to be one winner."
