Inter Milan boss Rafael Benitez has revealed captain Javier Zanetti was taken to hospital in the wake of their 2-1 win over Palermo.
The Nerazzurri came back from a goal down away from home, with Samuel Eto'o netting twice, but after the final whistle Zanetti reported a chest complaint.
The 37-year-old, who played the entire 90 minutes, asked to see the team doctor and was then taken to hospital for precautionary matters before being discharged.
"He asked to call the doctor, he had a little pain on the right of his chest, but he was tranquil," Benitez revealed.
"He has been transferred to the hospital just for precaution."
Versatile Argentine Zanetti has been at the San Siro since 1995 and has made over 500 league appearances for the club.
