Hull City are hoping to extend the loan deal of Liverpool youngster Daniel Ayala until the end of the season.
Ayala joined the Tigers on an initial month-long deal last week and made his debut in the 2-0 defeat at Cardiff City.
He then scored in Tuesday's 2-0 home win over Derby County and has been quick to make an impression on Nigel Pearson.
The Tigers boss is now exploring the possibility of keeping the 19-year-old defender at the KC Stadium for the rest of the campaign.
"We're looking to extend the deal and if we could do it for the season then that would be great," Pearson told the Hull Daily Mail.
"He has already proved that he's got a desire to play and that's important for us as a team at the moment."
