Joe Cole has expressed his delight at returning to Liverpool's starting XI against Steaua Bucharest in Europa League action.
The former Chelsea playmaker has missed the club's last three Premier League outings due to suspension and has not played for almost three weeks.
Cole found it frustrating kicking his heels on the sidelines due to the red card he picked up against Arsenal and marked his return against Steaua with his first goal for his next club.
"There was a lot of frustration after a month without playing," explained Cole.
"It has been stop-start but I was happy to get the first goal for the team.
"The suspension seemed to last ages. I just want to get back into it now."
The England international found the back of the net after just 25 seconds as Liverpool secured a 4-1 success.
"It was a great start in the competition," he added.
"You have to win your home games, so this is massive. If you win three at home and get a draw away, you're through."
