Youngster says Hull are getting it together

Striker Jay Simpson feels Hull are only just starting to hit their stride following a summer of disruption. Nigel Pearson took over as manager at the KC Stadium in June and has since brought in five new players, while a further 17 have been sold or released. But despite the upheaval, 21-year-old Simpson feels confidence is steadily growing after the Tigers unleashed their best display so far to defeat Derby 2-0 in their second Championship win of the campaign. "A lot of players have left the club and a lot have come so it takes time to gel," Simpson told the Hull Daily Mail. "But I think we're starting to show now that we're getting it together. I'm looking forward to Forest (at home) now on Saturday. "The atmosphere the fans create at the KC Stadium is a real buzz and our home form is very good, so hopefully we can continue that."
