Bebe was one of the shock signings of the summer when Manchester United forked out £7.6milllion for the 20-year-old Vitoria Guimaraes striker, who is yet to make an appearance for the club.

Reports have suggested that he is some way off making his bow, but Portuguese star Nani, who had his own struggles when he joined from Sporting Lisbon in 2007, is looking to help Bebe.

"Sometimes you try to show everything at first and things don't go quite right," Nani is quoted by The People.

"I've explained to him about the things I have learned.

"It is important to try and keep things simple, get your confidence up, then show your quality."
