Midfielder Jonathan Greening is keen to break into the Fulham side and prove he can do a job for his club.
The 31-year-old playmaker has had to be content with a place on the bench so far this season as new Cottagers boss Mark Hughes has opted to partner Dickson Etuhu and Danny Murphy in the middle of midfield.
However, Greening insists he will be raring to go should he get the chance to impress.
"I am just trying to work hard and wait for my chance to get on the field," he told the club's official website.
"Danny and Dickson have been doing a good job so I've just got to be patient.
"I'm ready and I've got to take my chance so the manager would find it difficult to leave me out."
