The Baggies forward is ineligible for Premier League duty after failing to make the club's 25-man squad.

The Italian is likely to send the former Aston Villa man on loan to get regular first-team football, rather than sit in the reserves.

Di Matteo insisted Moore's performances cost him his place and has now deemed the Albion misfit as surplus to requirements at the Hawthorns.

The 24-year-old has dropped down the pecking order since joining the club back in 2008 with Di Matteo spoiled for choice in attack.

Peter Odemwingie , Marc-Antoine Fortune, Roman Bednar, Chris Wood and Simon Cox all vying for a starting spot.

Di Matteo told the club's official website: "Towards the end of the season he wasn't involved as much and then I had to make a decision this season.

"The fact he can't play for us until January means it would be better for him if he went out on loan and plays football, rather than just training.

"We've had some enquiries - but nothing concrete."
