Carlisle manager Greg Abbott has described new Cumbrians striker Craig Curran as "a coach's dream".
Curran arrived on a free transfer from Tranmere in the summer, and Abbott believes the 21-year-old could "easily be the signing of the year".
Abbott added: "I think the fans are looking at what Craig does and they love his energy and work-rate.
"He's a coach's dream. He gives everything whether it's on the training pitch or during the game, and he just needs a little bit of luck in front of goal now.
"If he adds goals to his game then he could easily be the signing of the year. His work ethic and his contribution to the team is fantastic.
"The lads idolise him because of what he brings to the dressing room. Gary Madine has complemented him so well and they seem to be bringing the best out of each other in terms of how they work together."
