Nottingham Forest could be boosted by the return of midfielder Paul Anderson in three weeks' time.

Anderson is set for a spell on the sidelines after the former Liverpool man limped off during the second half of Saturday's draw with Norwich.

The 22-year-old had suffered suspected knee ligament trouble but after undergoing scans on the problem Forest have received encouraging news.

Boss Billy Davies said he expected the player to be back in action in three weeks, providing him with a timely boost as his side break off this week due to international fixtures.

He told the club's official website: "We didn't know how serious Paul's problem was after the game but it's turned out not to be as bad as we might have feared.

"He should be back in three weeks and that's good news, particularly as we have a free weekend coming up."
