Coventry hope to finalise striker deal this week

Aidy Boothroyd is hoping Marlon King will be available to play in Coventry City's next game against Leicester City. King is looking for a new club following his release from prison and the striker is set to be reunited with Boothroyd at the Ricoh Arena. The pair worked together at Watford and Sky Blues boss Boothroyd is aiming to finalise a deal for the 30-year-old by the end of the week. "We didn't have to sign him before the window closed, but we hope to complete that by the end of the week," Boothroyd told the Coventry Evening Telegraph. Coventry's next match is at home to local rivals Leicester on Saturday 11th September and King is likely to be in contention for an immediate debut. When asked when King would be ready to play, Boothroyd replied: "For the next game! "He's kept himself in good shape and he would be available for the Leicester match."
