Swansea have confirmed they have rejected a bid from Championship rivals Leicester for defender Ashley Williams.
As revealed by skysports.com earlier on Tuesday, Leicester had tabled an offer for Williams as they look to bolster their defence before the close of the transfer window.
Leicester manager Paulo Sousa worked with the Wales international at the Liberty Stadium last season and was keen on adding him to his squad.
However, the Portuguese will not be reunited with the 26-year-old as Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has confirmed the defender is "not for sale".
"We have received a bid from Leicester City for Ashley Williams and have turned it down," said Jenkins to the club's official website.
"The player is not for sale."
