Aston Villa's Luke Young says he cannot wait for the transfer window to shut so he can settle at Villa Park.

Villa stopper keen for interest to die down

Aston Villa full-back Luke Young admits he cannot wait for the transfer window to close so he can settle at Villa Park. The stopper stunned Liverpool by pulling out of a £2.75million transfer just before the start of the new Premier League season. The 31-year-old, who scored an unlikely goal to seal Villa's 1-0 home win over Everton at the weekend, has since been linked with moves to Fulham and West Ham. But Young, who joined Villa two years ago from Middlesbrough, insists he desperate for the interest to die down after Tuesday's deadline so he can concentrate on pushing forward at the Midlands club. "There are still people ringing me left, right and centre to see if I am available," Young told the Daily Star. "Hopefully once the window shuts, everything should be more settled."
