Joe Cole is determined to make an impact in Europe with Liverpool due to his domestic suspension.
The England midfielder admits he is disappointed to be forced out of three fixtures so early in the season, but is focusing on the positives.
Cole saw red in the 1-1 draw with Arsenal on the opening weekend of the Premier League season, but he insists he is not bitter.
Instead, he has set his sights on cementing himself as a key player in the Liverpool squad by seeing them through to the Europa League proper with victory over Trabzonspor in their qualifying play-off.
"Obviously it's a disappointment to miss three Premier League games, but at least I've got Europe," he told the Daily Star.
"This is a big season and I want to do well. You always want to get off to a good start at a new club.
"I just want to keep enjoying it. I'm settling into the team and if I keep making goals that will be all right."
Liverpool crashed 3-0 to Manchester City in their last top flight outing which Cole was forced to watch from the sidelines.
They will need to bounce back against Trabzonspor, but key players such as Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard will be missing.
Their absence will make Cole's role more vital in Turkey, as he was in the narrow first leg win at Anfield.
"I'm relaxed and I'm happy," said Cole, who missed a penalty in the first leg. "I just want to make goals and help the team.
"I've made two goals in two and a half games and if I keep that ratio up for the rest of the season I think everyone will be happy."
