Experienced midfielder Paul Murray has signed a contract extension to stay at Hartlepool United for the rest of the season.
Murray, who turns 34 next week, initially agreed a month-long deal with the League One club after impressing during pre-season training.
He has since started all four of Pools' matches this term and is happy to have secured a more permanent deal at the club.
"Well, I thought I'd done enough over pre-season to get sorted, but that wasn't the case," Murray told the club's official website.
"Obviously the manager at the time, Mr Turner, wanted me to get sorted, but it never materialised and they came up with a month and that was more or less like a paid trial for me.
"We've had a good start, I'm happy with that and now that's me signed until the end of May and I am thoroughly pleased.
"And I am sure we can have a successful season if we continue like we have started."
