Bristol City have completed the capture of Bournemouth's highly-rated frontman Brett Pitman.
As revealed by skysports.com over the weekend Bristol City had lined up a move to land Pitman.
The 22-year-old moves to Ashton Gate for an undisclosed fee, penning a three-year contract in the process.
The switch brings to an end Pitman's six-year association with Bournemouth, with whom he has forged quite a reputation.
He has been a regular source of goals for the Cherries down the years and boasts a formidable strike rate in the lower leagues.
Pitman is now hoping to bring that fine form with him into the Championship, as he is untested at second tier level.
He could have been stepping up one rung higher this summer, as Blackpool have been chasing his services for some time.
However, he has opted to join the ambitious Robins, who also snapped up fellow striker Jon Stead on Monday, and will have set his sights on helping City to promotion.
