Celtic striker Morten Rasmussen has joined Bundesliga outfit FSV Mainz on a season-long loan.
The Danish hit-man joined from Brondby for £1million in January and has started just four games for the Bhoys.
The writing was on the wall for Rasmussen earlier this month when he was omitted from the Neil Lennon's squad that faced Braga.
The 25-year-old has already begun training with his new team-mates and is now in line to make his debut against Stuttgart.
Manager Christian Heidel believes the striker will give Mainz added depth, saying: "Morten can give us a strong presence in the penalty area."
