Skysports.com understands Didier Digard is poised to leave Middlesbrough to rejoin Nice.
Digard enjoyed a spell on loan at Nice last season after dropping down the pecking order at Middlesbrough following the arrival of Gordon Strachan as manager.
The Frenchman returned to Middlesbrough this summer, but he was informed he does not figure in Strachan's plans.
Nice were keen to bring Digard back to the Cote d'Azur and they are now thought to be close to striking another loan deal for the 24-year-old.
Digard is believed to be in France tying up the move with the former Paris St Germain player set to sign a season-long loan deal.
