Claudio Marchisio insists he wants to sign a new deal at Juventus, despite being linked with a shock move to Inter Milan.
According to reports in Italy, the Bianconeri midfielder is an audacious target for Inter boss Rafa Benitez, who is prepared to offer his Serie A rivals 15million euros, plus Nicolas Burdisso to acquire the 24-year-old's services.
Marchisio has grown through the Juve Academy to become an influential figure in the Old Lady team and has been negotiating a new five-year deal at the Stadio Olimpico.
But the Italian international is said to be holding out for a better deal than what Juve are currently offering.
Marchisio's agent Carlo Pallavicino told Sky Italia:"It's time to better define his contractual situation to lock his future to Juventus.
"The contract renewal is not granted, but I'm confident that could come soon.
"We have been dealing a long and important agreement for two months with the club, with an adjustment of wages that was promised by the previous leadership.
"Claudio is extremely appreciated but it is normal that there are other clubs (interested) in the window.
"Marchisio has been at Juventus since he was 15 years-old and since he was little has always hoped to become a symbol of the team."
