Kayserispor say they pulled out of the deal to sign Middlesbrough striker Mido due to the player's poor attitude.
The Turkish club offered the 27-year-old the chance to join them at the end of last season.
However, the Egypt international stalled on the chance to sign and only flew out recently after his Ajax return collapsed.
Kayserispor were unhappy at how long it took for the striker to decide his future, coupled with the fact he eventually arrived unannounced.
Club spokesman Suleyman Hurma believes the player needs to sort himself out if he is to secure his move away from Middlesbrough.
"It took Mido around two months to consider our offer, which is a very long time," Hurma is quoted in the Evening Gazette.
"Now he comes without invitation after buying the plane tickets himself.
"We are not going to sign a player with such attitude. I hope this will be a lesson for him."
