Swansea will run the rule over Dundee United striker Francisco Sandaza this week in training.
Swans chief Brendan Rodgers is determined to bolster his attacking options
after losing Craig Beattie and Gorka Pintado to injury.
Sandaza signed for Dundee United from Valencia, where he spent a total of six years, back in July 2008 on a three-year deal.
However, injury problems and a resulting struggle with fitness have restricted the 26-year-old's first-team opportunities at Tannadice.
Sandaza, who has a year remaining on his contract, has made a total of 43 appearances for United, scoring 11 goals.
If Sandaza impresses during his training stint at the Liberty Stadium he could win a deal at the Championship club.
