Skysports.com understands Huddersfield Town are keen to sign Crystal Palace's in-form striker Alan Lee.

The 31-year-old has enjoyed an impressive start to the new season and has scored in Palace's opening two games against Leicester City and Yeovil Town.

However, the Irishman could be offered a move away from Selhurst Park before the close of the transfer window with Huddersfield understood to be interested.

A £300,000 fee for Lee has been mooted as Terriers boss Lee Clark looks to construct a squad capable of winning promotion to the Championship.

Lee has scored 12 goals in 71 appearances for Palace since joining the club from Ipswich Town in 2008.
