Dundee United's Craig Conway insists he is paying little attention to reports linking him with Middlesbrough.

The Scotland international, who has one year left on his Tangerines deal, is wanted by Boro boss Gordon Strachan.

United manager Peter Houston confirmed last month the Riverside outfit had enquired about the 25-year-old, who has one cap for his country.

Conway is aware of the speculation, but insists he is just focusing on hitting the ground running when the new SPL season starts this weekend - starting with St Mirren.

"Speculation does not bother me as there is nothing I can do about it," he told the Daily Record.

"I'm totally focused on United getting the season off to a good start."
