Werder Bremen have confirmed Mesut Ozil could leave the club this summer, with reports claiming Barcelona are close to capturing the midfielder.
Spanish media reported on Tuesday that Barca have reached an agreement to sign the 21-year-old, who was one of the stars of Germany's World Cup campaign.
Ozil has also been linked with a switch to Manchester United, with manager Sir Alex Ferguson present at Bremen's recent friendly against Fulham, while Chelsea are another club reportedly interested in the young midfield ace.
Bremen director of sport Klaus Allofs admits Ozil could depart the Bundesliga outfit, but says nothing has been decided.
"It is possible that there is now a bit of movement in the issue," Allofs told the Kreiszeitung Syke newspaper.
"But I am not running backwards and forwards to the fax machine or getting sweaty palms when I check my emails to see if maybe an offer has arrived."
After Ozil turned down a new contract with Bremen, the German club are likely to sell him rather than risk losing him on a free transfer next year.
