Sheffield United have confirmed the signing of former Burnley full-back Stephen Jordan on a one-year contract.
Skysports.com revealed last week that Jordan was heading to Bramall Lane after snubbing the chance to join Championship rivals Portsmouth.
Jordan was released by Burnley at the end of the last campaign and had spent most of pre-season training with Pompey.
He was expected to sign a contract at Fratton Park, but has instead plumped for a deal with the Blades after passing a medical.
The left-back's decision to opt for South Yorkshire disappointed Pompey manager Steve Cotterill and he could now be involved in the Blades' Carling Cup tie with Hartlepool United on Wednesday.
