England Under-21 midfielder Fabrice Muamba has signed a new four-year deal at Bolton.
The 22-year-old joined the Trotters from Birmingham two years ago and has since become an integral part of Owen Coyle's side, making 83 appearances for the Trotters.
His new deal will keep him at Bolton under the end of the 2013/14 campaign and Muamba revealed that the atmosphere at the club was key to him extending his current deal.
"I'm happy, my family is happy - everybody is happy. The football club has been good to me since the moment I signed here," he told the club's official website.
"I don't have any reason to want to move anywhere else and I'm looking forward to the upcoming season.
"The manager believes in me and says that I'm part of his plans, and I want to give my best to the club for the fans."
Manager Coyle was more than happy to see the influential youngster pen a new deal and is looking forward to working with him.
"Everybody knows my opinion of him - he's a great young prospect and I'm delighted he's signed an extended contract," beamed the former Burnley boss.
"He loves being at the football club, I like working with him and hopefully we can move on together."
