Bolton have stated their intent to keep utility player Chris Basham having rejected a bid from Blackpool.
Trotters boss Owen Coyle is said to be keen to hold on to Basham who made just 10 appearances in an injury-hit campaign last time.
The 22-year-old, who can play in defence or midfield, appears to be still high in the pecking order at the Reebok Stadium.
A club spokesperson confirmed that a bid for Basham had been made by Blackpool but was quickly turned down.
The Seasiders have been struggling to make an impact on the transfer window and, again, have fallen short in their quest for summer signings.
