Liverpool new boy Joe Cole was happy with his Anfield debut but conceded he found it a nerve-wracking experience.
The England international made his first competitive appearance for the club he joined on a free transfer from Chelsea this summer.
And Cole shined on Merseyside as he helped Roy Hodgson's Reds to a 2-0 Europa League qualifying second leg win over Rabotnicki.
Speaking after the success, the 28-year-old told Sky Sports News: "It was great, I was nervous really.
"This game was a friendly really, with respect to them the game was won.
"But I enjoyed it. I am glad to be part of this team, I got a great reception.
"I worked hard. I was happy to be involved and make the first goal.
"We have got to keep our heads together and working hard in training as it is a transitional period for the club. We can't be flattered by results like this."
Cole was deployed in an advanced central role on Thursday night and hopes to continue to impress in that position.
He said: "I haven't played there regularly in seven years, sporadically once or twice a season, if that. But I enjoy it.
"Obviously it will take me time to bed back in there. You will have seen tonight that I am playing with a smile on my face.
"I just want to help the team do well. There is a great feeling at the club, at training."
