Roma midfielder Ricardo Faty is hoping to win a move to Blackburn after joining the club on trial.
Faty has linked up with Sam Allardyce's side this week as he looks to secure a switch away from Roma.
The 23-year-old has dropped down the pecking order at Roma and has spent loans spells at Bayer Leverkusen and Nantes in recent seasons.
If Faty impresses during his training stint at Blackburn he could win a deal at Ewood Park and the Frenchman admits Rovers is the best option available to him at the moment.
"Right now Blackburn are my best option," said Faty.
"I would have loved to join a club in France but the opportunity has not come up.
"I could stay with Roma for another two years. However I'm 23 now, and I need first-team football."
