Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has rejected reports that he is lining up an offer for West Ham United striker Carlton Cole.
The Potters have been linked with a bid for Cole, while winger Matthew Etherington recently urged his side to move for the forward.
Pulis, though, has rebuffed the speculation, insisting there is no truth in the rumours, following claims that a £9million offer had been lodged.
"There's no truth in it whatsoever," said Pulis. "They've got to fill their papers and fill their television programmes.
"I'll do all of my business with the clubs that I'm dealing with."
Meanwhile, Pulis has not ruled out retaining the services of strikers James Beattie and Dave Kitson.
"They're both Stoke City players, we still pay them and at the moment they're working as hard as the others to keep fit," said Pulis.
"If we need them for next season, we need them for next season."
