Millwall boss Kenny Jackett insists he does not want to sell Steve Morison after denying reports Hull City had bid for the striker.

Morison proved an instant hit at The Den last season after his arrival from Stevenage and scored 23 goals en route to Millwall's promotion from League One.

The 26-year-old's performances have reportedly attracted interest from Hull, who are preparing for life back in the Championship after their relegation.

However, Jackett is determined to hang on to Morison and is offering no encouragement to any suitors of the forward.

"That's news to me," said Jackett in response to reports of an approach from Hull. "There's been no bid made by anyone - not Hull City, or anybody else.

"We're trying to establish ourselves in a new division and there's no financial pressure to sell any of our players.

"I wouldn't welcome any bid for any of my players because we're looking to build and improve."
