Lyon coach Claude Puel has confirmed Fenerbahce have shown an interest in signing striker Bafetimbi Gomis.
The France international only joined Lyon from St Etienne 12 months ago, but Puel is considering letting Gomis move on.
Fenerbahce have reportedly made an offer of €13million (£10.8million) and Puel could use the money to fund bids for the likes of Loic Remy or Andre-Pierre Gignac.
Puel said: "It's true that there's been contact between the two clubs regarding a transfer and it could interest us eventually.
"If Bafetimbi stays with us, that would be great. There's the economic aspect, which you always have to take into consideration."
Gomis was signed on a five-year contract last summer and, while not exactly a flop, he has not managed to make himself indispensable either.
He added: "Of course, there are financial considerations, and there's the sporting side of things.
"When you allow a player to leave, there can always be a knock-on effect for the sporting side of things. But we hope that won't be the case."
