Despite numerous claims from the Serie A giants that the Brazilian is going nowhere, reports continue to link him with a move.

The latest speculation has suggested that he could soon be heading home, while a move to the American MLS has also been touted.

Milan have always maintained that they have no intention of letting the 30-year-old leave, though, and have recently made it clear that they would be willing to discuss a contract extension.

Galliani insists that remains the official stance at Giuseppe Meazza and has once again sought to bring about an end to the distracting rumours.

No deal

"He's a Milan player. Milan don't want to sell him and he has never asked to be sold," Galliani told Gazzetta.it.

"He will remain at Milan for at least next season, but I hope for a lot longer than that."

Galliani has also revealed that Milan have no intention of making further additions to their squad this summer, with new coach Massimiliano Allegri happy with his lot.

"The market is closed," he added.

"As long as no-one leaves, this will be the squad. If someone goes then someone will arrive, but I think this will be our group."
