Hereford United manager Simon Davey has confirmed his interest in signing Huddersfield Town winger Lionel Ainsworth.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed two previous loan spells at Hereford and was made available for transfer by Huddersfield at the end of last season.
Davey is hoping the Bulls can meet Ainsworth's demands as he continues building his squad for the coming League Two campaign.
"It has been well reported that I've been looking to bring in some wide players as the final pieces in the jigsaw," said Davey.
"I'm looking to build around a 20-man squad and Ainsworth is a player I would like to bring back to the football club.
"He is on a much higher wage than he was when he left the club, but the difference is not unsurmountable."
