Midfielder Darron Gibson has flown home from Manchester United's tour of North America after the death of his grandmother.
The Red Devils confirmed he has been given permission to leave their base in Philadelphia.
The 22-year-old is scheduled to arrive back on Wednesday from the family home in Londonderry, with United set to play the second match of their tour against Philadelphia Union at Lincoln Financial Field.
Gibson played a part in the team's 3-1 victory against Celtic in Toronto on Friday.
Meanwhile, the players and coaching staff took time off after morning training to visit the Rocky Steps.
The location outside the Museum of Art in Philadelphia became an iconic image thanks to the character played in the film 'Rocky' by Sylvester Stallone.
While in the film Rocky built up his fitness as a heavyweight boxer by running up the 72 steps, the United players opted for a gentle stroll.
They then posed for pictures and the TV cameras before returning to their coach for the short ride back to the team hotel.
