Yeovil have signed former Newcastle defender Paul Huntington on a two-year deal, while Jean-Paul Kalala has extended his contract.

The Carlisle-born 22-year-old played for Stockport last season, making 26 appearances having joined from Leeds.

A statement on the Glovers' official website said: "Everyone at Huish Park would like to welcome Paul to Somerset and hope he enjoys a long and successful stay with the Glovers."

And midfielder Kalala has put pen to paper on a one-year extension to his existing deal.

The Congolese 28-year-old originally joined the Glovers in the summer of 2006 and made 42 appearances, scoring one goal.

He left to join Oldham and then Grimsby before returning last September to resume his career at Huish Park.
