George Boyd has officially committed his long-term future to Peterborough after signing a new contract on Wednesday evening.
The former Stevenage winger agreed the new terms while at the club's pre-season training camp in Portugal and has now put pen to paper.
The 24-year-old appeared to be on his way out of London Road this summer after finishing the season on loan with Nottingham Forest.
However, ahead of Wednesday's friendly defeat to Premier League side West Ham, Boyd signed his new Posh contract.
The news of Boyd's decision to stay at London Road comes as a massive boost to the club as they look to seal an immediate return to The Championship.
