New Hull City signing James Harper has been ruled out for six weeks after suffering a broken metatarsal.
The 29-year-old midfielder completed his move to the KC Stadium earlier in the week but was dealt a blow just 27 minutes into his club debut.
Harper, formerly of Sheffield United, suffered the injury within the first half-hour of Hull's 6-0 friendly win over North Ferriby United on Wednesday.
Having been released by the Blades, Harper has penned a two-year contract with the Tigers as they look to bounce back from relegation last term.
Nigel Pearson's men were relegated from the Premier League but are aiming for a successful Championship campaign.
