Crystal Palace have lined up a deal to sign former Derby County goalkeeper Lewis Price on a free transfer.
Price was not offered a new contract by Derby at the end of last season and will move to Palace to provide back-up for regular No.1 Julian Speroni.
Boss George Burley is also looking to boost his attacking options by the time Chelsea arrive at Selhurst Park for Saturday's glamour friendly.
"Lewis Price, we're looking to complete that for the No.2 keeper," said Burley.
"We're talking to a couple of midfield players and we've got our eye on a striker. We're working on things."
Meanwhile, Darren Ambrose and Sean Scannell are expected to be in contention for the visit of the Blues after missing Tuesday night's friendly defeat at Crawley with knocks.
