Wolves manager Mick McCarthy is confident midfielder Dave Jones will sign a new contract with the club.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to Premier League rivals Newcastle, Bolton and Blackburn this summer, after playing an important part in securing Wolves' top-flight status last term.
Jones was offered a new contract at the back end of last season, and McCarthy believes he will put pen to paper sooner rather than later.
He said: "I want Dave to stay. He's got a year left of his contract and it's the same situation as where we were in March.
"We're trying to sort something out. Hopefully that will get done. I think it will get sorted out fairly quickly.
"We want him to stay and be part of the squad and I haven't heard anything from anyone."
Jones started 31 league games for Wolves last term, and has made the step up from the Championship after originally signing on at Molineux in June 2008.
