Aberdeen are set to officially confirm the signing of St Mirren goalkeeper Mark Howard.
The 23-year-old will move to Pittodrie on a one-year deal after losing his Buddies place to Paul Gallacher last season.
Howard only made two appearances for the club last term and is expected to challenge for the No.1 jersey at Aberdeen.
Dons boss Mark McGhee told the Evening Express: "We have signed Mark on a one-year deal.
"Now the challenge for Mark is to put pressure on Jamie Langfield for that No.1 jersey."
Meanwhile, Dons target Evan Horwood was back training with Hartlepool today after a brief visit to Aberdeen.
