Left-back still a Lazio player, says boss

Lazio coach Edy Reja is expecting Manchester City target Aleksandar Kolarov to be present at pre-season training later this month. The 24-year-old left-back, who the Serie A club have given a €22.5million (£18.7m) price tag, has been strongly linked with a move to Eastlands this summer. But Reja still considers Serbia international Kolarov, whose current contract runs until June 2011, to be very much a Lazio player. "I don't consider Kolarov a former Lazio player," Reja told Corriere dello Sport. "I spoke to him yesterday and I told him that on July 20 he should consider himself among the players included in the list for pre-season training. "If before that something happens in the transfer market then things will change." It is understood Lazio turned down a £12m bid from Real Madrid for Kolarov earlier this month. The defender, who can also play in midfield, arrived at the Italian club from OFK Belgrade for €800,000 (£670,000) in 2007.
