Jermaine Beckford may miss out on making his debut for Everton on Saturday after suffering a leg injury.
The Toffees are due to face Sydney FC in the first game of their pre-season tour of Australia, but the 26-year-old, who signed on a free transfer from Leeds this summer, is an injury doubt.
Beckford is expected to be a key figure in Everton's season next year, but he will be eager to get off to a good start to demonstrate his quality as a Premier League calibre striker.
Captain Phil Neville is also a certainty to miss out due to his continuing recovering from the knee surgery he underwent in May.
"We've got a few players who might not play," said manager David Moyes.
"Phil Neville is carrying his knee injury so he won't be considered and we've got two or three others that I'll make a decision about on Saturday.
"So we could be without three or four of our players but none of them are serious."
