Holland's Nigel de Jong has admitted his relief that he is on the same team as Mark van Bommel at the World Cup finals.
Bayern Munich midfielder Van Bommel has come under the spotlight for some ferocious tackles in South Africa.
The 33-year-old has left his mark on several players as Holland have progressed to Sunday's final against Spain, who defeated Germany in the semi-finals on Wednesday night.
And after sitting out Holland's semi-final win over Uruguay through suspension, Manchester City midfielder De Jong is glad that he is not on the receiving end of Van Bommel's uncompromising approach.
"Me and Mark have played for a couple of years," De Jong said in the Daily Star. "We know each other very well.
"His style of play is very positive. I am just happy he is on my side!"
