Darren Ambrose has told Crystal Palace's new manager, George Burley, that he is keen to remain at Selhurst Park.
Ambrose looked certain to join QPR this summer after agreeing to join former boss Neil Warnock's Championship rivals.
Although Ambrose had a medical with the Loftus Road outfit, CPFC 2010 pulled the plug on the protracted deal.
Ambrose, who has a year left on his Palace deal, has told Burley that he wants to stay with the club and is set to hold talks.
"We've had some good news from Darren," he told the Advertiser. "He's told me that he wants to stay.
"We are going to begin talks about getting him signed up on a new long-term contract."
