Stuttgart boss in doubt over future of pair

Stuttgart manager Christian Gross is unsure over the future of Germany internationals Serdar Tasci and Sami Khedira. The duo are currently at the World Cup with the Germans, who booked their spot in the semi-finals with victory over Argentina on Saturday. And Gross has acknowledged that high-profile clubs could come knocking for the Stuttgart pair if Germany continue to shine in South Africa. "Who knows what is going to happen in the case of Khedira and Tasci," Gross told Stuttgart Nachrichten. "If he (Khedira) has more great games then there will be big clubs from Spain and England approaching and then all parties will need to think over their position. "I would not like to see Sami leaving us on a Bosman transfer in twelve months." However, Stuttgart director Jochen Schneider is confident Khedira, who is contracted with the Bundesliga club until June 2011, is not going anywhere. He told kicker-Sportmagazin: "We have spoken to Sami Khedira and his player agent right ahead of the World Cup competition. And he is definitely going on at our club, he will be around for the 2010/2011 season."
