Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has confirmed his admiration of Lazio's Aleksandar Kolarov amid speculation of a bid.
The Serbian defender has been linked with a number of top European sides after catching the eye with his performances in Serie A over the past couple of seasons.
Real Madrid are believed to be keen on the player, while the Light Blues are thought to have offered €18m (£14.88m).
Lazio president Claudio Lotito has previously insisted the player is going nowhere but reports claim he has now decided on a price-tag of €22m (£18.18m).
When asked about City's interest in Kolarov, Mancini told Radio Sei: "He is a very good player too. He is young. He has improved and can still improve."
