Scott targets McCracken

Skysports.com understands Brenford are closing in on the signing of MK Dons defender David McCracken. Bees boss Andy Scott is keen to bolster his backline and he has lined up a move for former Dundee United star McCracken. McCracken has impressed at MK Dons since arriving on a free transfer from Wycombe last summer, making over 40 appearances for the club last term. Dons are reluctant to lose the 28-year-old, but it is believed Brentford are close to agreeing a deal for the Scot's services. If Brentford land McCraken he will become the club's seventh signing following the arrivals for Michael Spillane, Craig Woodman, Kirk Hudson, Nicky Forster, Simon Royce and Richard Lee.
